Testing Out Colored Text Boxes

I’m in the habit of writing very long posts at my main blog, vsatips, which is why I’m always searching for good ways to get my text organized and presented in ways that make it easy and appealing for my readers (as posed to long and cluttered, my usual default!) One idea I had was to break out some special sections and place them into colored text boxes.  WordPress.com already gives you some capabilities in this regard with the Block Quote feature.  But, so far on the Themes I’m using the Blockquote feature doesn’t really make it stand out … Continue reading Testing Out Colored Text Boxes

ScanSnap Evernote Scanner is On Sale for Father’s Day

Recently I updated one of my webpages: Evernote Tips & Links and the Fujitsu ScanSnap Scanner. I wrote a segment about the Fujitsu scanner which I’ve been using for about a year now and absolutely love! I first learned of it through Evernote’s Marketplace, which is where Evernote sells branded products which either promote the Evernote name or offer additional features to the main Evernote Application.    This isn’t the scanner I ended up buying. If you’re interested in the one I bought, go to the first link in the above paragraph where you can read about my scanner and … Continue reading ScanSnap Evernote Scanner is On Sale for Father’s Day

Pros & Cons of WP.com’s Old & New Editors

WordPress.com introduced a new text editor but has kept the old one available to users too. This allows me to use both and to try and figure our which one I like more.

The final verdict for me may be that neither is best…both have some pluses and minuses. If the pluses for both were to be combined, then truely the best editor would emerge! Continue reading Pros & Cons of WP.com’s Old & New Editors

Hello world!  Welcome to My Test Site!!

This is my first post on vsatests.  A couple of things I’d like to test out on the ‘post’ front are different ways to streamline posting.  I have a lot of content scattered around the web that I’d like to bring in to WP and clean up. So the posts section for vsatests will be dedicated to accomplishing this.  In my testing of themes and various navigation menu alternatives, I’ll be copying a few of my recent posts and pages here too.
